Ray Harris Jr. covers the Japanese submarine campaign against US carriers supporting Henderson Field during the Guadalcanal campaign — the period when IJN subs scored damaging hits that genuinely threatened Nimitz's ability to sustain offensive operations. Short at 24 minutes, but tightly focused on the naval dimension of the Solomons fight that often gets overshadowed by the land battles. Good on the operational bind the US Navy found itself in.
